Power Banding

Not that you need another reason to deck yourself out in crystal jewelry, but in case you were wondering, there is an intention behind why we suggest wearing crystal bracelets on both arms—or, as we call it, power banding! If you look at the imagery of influential women as depicted by ancient civilizations, you’ll notice a trend: many of them are adorned with bracelets on both wrists. Whether you’re looking at art conveying Egyptian goddesses like Isis, Greek goddesses like Athena, Hindu goddesses like Saraswati or Buddhist goddesses like Quan Yin, the common trait among them all are matching cuffs on both arms. This makes sense to us, as energy workers.

Since positive energy is all about creating and sustaining balance, symmetry of bands on each side of the body signifies the harmony held within these powerful women. Just as the right and left sides of the brain serve different functions, the right and left sides of the body serve different energy functions.

While the left side is your sensitive, responsible for dealing with your internal self, your right side is more about how you take action in the world outside. You receive energy through your left side, and it is on this side that you make positive “shifts” that best benefit you emotionally. When you wear certain healing crystals on your left wrist you can consciously control and modify stresses from your outside environment. In contrast, your right side is your “doer” or “action” side. When you wear crystals on your right wrist, the gemstones aid in your productivity and control the energy you put into your outside environment.

To get the best energetic benefit from your crystal bracelets you simply need to find the correct balance between your left and right sides (similar to the ancient Chinese concept of yin and yang energy – light vs. dark, slow vs. fast, soft vs. hard, internal vs. external). You can do this by wearing crystal bracelets on your left and right wrists in specific combinations to help you better achieve what you desire. We recommend that you wear a combination of at least 2 bracelets on each wrist when working with this “energy power banding” concept.
